Let's Learn Hindi by Chaytna Feinstein

Let's Learn Hindi is unlike any other language book. It offers a tested and effective method of learning a language. It has a user friendly approach that eliminates long hours of memorization. It also includes a comprehensive English Hindi dictionary and complete instructions for learning the Hindi script. After 17 years of research, Chaytna created this book to use with her students. When she was teaching Hindi in 1982 there was little or no course material available in the remote area she was living in and because of the diversity of her students, she had to find a method that was simple, immediate and did not require too much memorization. She developed, tested and refined the sentence building system, which is the basis of Let’s Learn Hindi. It is a unique language learning system, based on the parts of the speech, arranged according to their order in a Hindi sentence. 

 

It's set up is as follows: Chapters follow the usual word order of a Hindi sentence and each chapter contains information about the relevant part of speech. The reader simply flips from one chapter to the next, constructs the sentence wanted and then can start speaking immediately.

 

This book is useful to beginners, those who have some knowledge of Hindi and anyone traveling to India for business or pleasure. It offers an immediate 'hands-on' approach to speaking this beautiful language. Let’s Learn Hindi is already in use at Harvard University, as well as other universities, institutes and book stores. For many years now, Let’s Learn Hindi has aided hundred of students to easily develop conversational, reading and writing skills.
